Detroit Most Stressed Out City In America

Detroit, MI, United States (AHN) – According to a study by the website Portfolio.com, Detroit is at the top of the list when it comes to stressful cities in the United States.
The study, which also appeared on bizjournals, lists high unemployment and crime as the main factors for the city’s stress level.
The analysis of the nation’s 50 largest cities shows Detroit has an unemployment rate of 14.3 percent, the third largest in the country. Detroit also ranks among the top 10 in crime, heart attacks and poverty, the study revealed.
Detroit is also among the cities with the fewest sunny days.
Runners-up in the stressful city category include: Los Angeles; Cleveland; Riverside, Ca; St. Louis; New York; New Orleans; Chicago; Birmingham, AL; and the Miami-Fort Lauderdale area respectively.
According to Portfolio.com, Salt Lake City, UT, is the least stressful metropolitan area.
